Responsibilities
As an Associate – Retail at Bain New Delhi, you will:
- Contribute to building and delivering retail consulting solutions across multiple categories.
- Lead complex workstreams with guidance from senior managers and project leaders.
- Break down client requirements into actionable tasks for analysts and project teams.
- Manage and oversee 1–2 analysts while ensuring timely, accurate outputs.
- Work with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python/R, Alteryx/KNIME, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Conduct data validation, analytics, and business modeling for retail strategy projects.
- Provide insights on category management, COGS optimization, pricing, promotion, and customer analytics.
- Present findings effectively to senior Bain stakeholders and clients.
- Foster collaboration within diverse consulting teams.
Skills & Qualifications
Ideal candidates for the Associate – Retail role at Bain should have:
- Strong academic credentials (graduate or postgraduate).
- UG: 2–4 years OR PG: 1–2 years of relevant experience in consulting, analytics, or retail/consumer products.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for stakeholder interactions.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with expertise in visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and ETL tools (Alteryx, KNIME, SQL, Python, R).
