Responsibilities
As a SOC/SIEM Consultant, you will be responsible for strengthening Deloitte’s client cyber defense capabilities:
- Manage, maintain, and enhance SOC platforms to ensure continuous monitoring and detection.
- Validate security threats using defined procedures and threat taxonomy.
- Perform event categorization, triage, and contextual analysis of logged incidents.
- Conduct threat detection and escalation to Level 2 for advanced research.
- Extract and analyze raw data to create technical reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Lead incident response by solving or escalating high-severity incidents.
- Draft new incident management procedures and improve SOC workflows.
- Perform regular health-checks in a 24×7 SOC environment.
- Provide technical mentorship to Level 1 SOC analysts.
- Collaborate with clients to communicate risks, incidents, and remediation measures.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of SOC/SIEM operations experience.
- Familiarity with:
- MITRE ATT&CK TTPs
- Sigma rules & IDS signatures
- SQL query syntax & Python scripting
- OSQuery and open-source frameworks (e.g., Zeek/Zeek)
- Incident management processes
- Strong ability to analyze and respond to complex security alerts.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech Tier 1/2) in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Relevant SOC/SIEM certifications will be an added advantage.
