Responsibilities
- Procurement of Transport Rates: Source and procure ad hoc freight rates (air, ocean, express) to support shipping and logistics requirements.
- Rate Management: Oversee transportation rate validity, maintain variable rate structures, and ensure accurate updates across systems.
- Reporting & Analysis: Support monthly site logistics metrics, create savings plan reports, and provide decision support through analytics.
- Database Management: Build and maintain rate databases and benchmarks for logistics performance evaluation.
- Supplier Coordination: Maintain and update global transportation rate agreements with logistics partners and carriers.
- Contract Management: Assist in logistics contract development, tracking, and compliance management.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Com, BBA, B.Sc) or Diploma in relevant field.
- Experience: 0–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
- ERP Systems: Familiarity with P2P/ERP systems like BAAN, SAP, or Oracle.
- Tech Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork & Initiative: Ability to work well in teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and meet tight deadlines.
