Key Responsibilities
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Timely issuance of purchase orders (POs) and vendor follow-ups for order confirmation.
- Coordinating with suppliers for delivery status updates and on-time material availability.
- Completing Open PO reports and Shortage reports accurately and on schedule.
- Executing procurement processes efficiently for assigned products.
- Meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs) and inventory targets.
- Coordinating PO changes with internal requestors and suppliers.
- Selecting suppliers in line with approved purchasing strategies.
- Managing and updating the supplier database.
- Identifying and implementing operational efficiencies for procurement processes.
- Conducting root cause analysis to resolve supplier and service issues.
- Preparing customized reports to track and improve procurement performance.
- Handling shortage/excess escalation, urgent order receipts, and past-due resolution.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Engineering Graduate.
- 3–7 years of procurement or supply chain experience (manufacturing/electronics industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes, order management, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably BAAN).
- Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to create insightful reports.
- Excellent communication skills (mandatory) – written and verbal.
- Experience working in fast-paced procurement environments with multiple stakeholders.
