Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy middleware testing solutions to reduce manual effort.
- Apply automated testing tools across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Support the test team by recommending tools and processes to automate test management, reporting, test data generation, and defect management.
- Collaborate with global teams to debug and resolve production issues across QA, Development, PM, and Operations teams.
- Create test strategies for distributed systems, including stubbed and mocked data scenarios.
- Ensure high-quality delivery for client applications by applying best practices in automation and middleware testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or middleware testing practitioner.
- Strong knowledge of Internet/Web technologies.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools: SOAP UI, CA Lisa, Parasoft, or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in API test automation frameworks like Rest Assured.
- Excellent coding skills in Java or JavaScript.
- Understanding of WebSphere MQ and IBM Integration Bus (IIB) is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of data modeling and database queries, including NoSQL platforms.
- Experience in designing automation test strategies for distributed systems.
- Ability to solve and debug production issues, coordinating with remote teams.
- Experience with middleware integration, SDLC testing, and automated reporting tools.
