Key Responsibilities
As an AWS Infrastructure Engineer (Consultant / Senior Consultant), you will:
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS for enterprise-scale applications.
- Provide best practices for cloud architecture, deployment, and security.
- Lead and support infrastructure migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms to AWS.
- Configure networking, storage, compute, IAM services, and security groups within AWS environments.
- Automate deployments using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting tools.
- Perform infrastructure assessments, prototyping, and performance tuning for cloud environments.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide teams on evolving cloud technologies.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed systems and provide high-level strategic recommendations.
Required Skills & Must-Haves
- Minimum 4+ years of IT industry experience with focus on cloud-based projects.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure including compute, networking, load balancers, IAM, storage, and database services.
- Proven experience in infrastructure migration projects (minimum 2 large-scale migrations).
- Proficiency with Terraform, scripting (Python, Shell, etc.), and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux/Windows systems, virtualization, and data center components.
- Strong understanding of cloud deployment architectures and security best practices.
- Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills.
- AWS Certification (mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with cloud adoption frameworks and methodologies.
- Exposure to Agile and DevOps environments.
- Experience with Familiar cloud migration tools.
- Broad knowledge of enterprise cloud strategy and modernization.
