Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Define and implement public policy strategies for India, aligned with Meta’s global and regional objectives
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary policy team (regulatory, economic, product, and programs specialists)
- Advise Meta executives on policy developments in India as part of the APAC Policy leadership team
Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with government officials, regulators, civil society, industry associations, and key AI/digital policy stakeholders
- Represent Meta in senior policy discussions, expert panels, and public forums
- Communicate Meta’s policy positions and societal impact of products to diverse audiences
Policy Development & Advocacy
- Shape legislative, regulatory, and societal discussions with a focus on AI technology, generative AI, and responsible digital innovation
- Establish and advocate policy positions that support a safe, open, and equitable digital ecosystem
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, communications, product, operations, and AI research teams
Monitoring & Insights
- Track emerging trends in AI, technology policy, and digital transformation
- Provide proactive solutions and guidance on regulatory and societal risks
Required Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of India’s public policy and regulatory landscape
- Proven experience in AI, technology, or digital policy leadership
- Strong team management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing outcomes in dynamic, tech-driven environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in AI policy or digital technology policy within multinational organizations
- Established network of AI and digital policy stakeholders in India
- Commitment to ethical, responsible, and transparent development of technology solutions
- Knowledge of additional Indian languages is a plus
