Key Responsibilities
- AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS data platforms.
- Data Engineering: Build robust data pipelines and ETL workflows using Glue, Lambda, and EMR.
- Big Data Solutions: Work with Hadoop, Spark, and Delta Lake for large-scale analytics.
- Data Lakes & Warehousing: Develop and maintain data lakes (S3, Delta Lake) and warehousing (Athena, Redshift).
- Database Management: Implement solutions with Aurora, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Serverless & Automation: Create serverless workflows with Step Functions and automate deployments with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Collaboration: Partner with data scientists and analysts to deliver business insights.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers on AWS best practices.
- Optimization: Ensure cost-efficiency, performance tuning, and compliance with data security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in AWS data engineering and DevOps.
- Strong expertise in AWS services: Glue, EMR, Lambda, Athena, Redshift, S3.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL/PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, and Delta Lake.
- Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes for infrastructure automation.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration (Step Functions).
- Experience in version control (GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong background in data architecture optimization.
