Responsibilities
- Plan, install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database servers (9.x–12.x).
- Install and configure PostgreSQL tools including PGAdmin III/IV, rep manager, PGPOOL, PGBouncer, and pgbadger.
- Perform database performance tuning and enable configuration parameters for optimal performance.
- Conduct database backup, recovery, and upgrade tasks, including pg_dump, pg_restore, pg_basebackup, and replication setup.
- Implement high availability (HA) solutions and maintain security protocols for PostgreSQL databases.
- Write and manage UNIX Shell Scripts for automation, backup scheduling, and routine tasks.
- Create databases, tables, indexes, users, roles, and assign privileges following business requirements and password policies.
- Conduct Linux administration and support test databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve database-related issues and provide technical support.
- Monitor load balancing, replication, and database connections to ensure system stability.

Technical Skills
- Expertise in PostgreSQL administration (installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and upgrades).
- Proficient with PGAdmin III/IV, replication tools, PGBouncer, and PGPOOL.
- Strong UNIX/Linux scripting skills for automation and administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of high availability, security, and performance tuning best practices.
- Experience with database troubleshooting, load balancing, and indexing strategies.
