Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models to solve complex business challenges in Chevron’s energy operations.
- Collaborate with AI Technical Managers, data engineers, and petro-technical professionals to integrate models into business workflows.
- Identify opportunities to apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and modeling to enhance decision-making, workflow automation, and efficiency.
- Perform data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, and model testing to ensure high-quality AI/ML solutions.
- Establish and maintain model lifecycle management processes for sustainable analytics.
- Mentor and guide teams in data science methodologies, modeling techniques, and analytics best practices.
- Communicate data insights, model behavior, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive innovation in AI/ML technologies to enhance Chevron’s capabilities in data-driven business decisions.
- Align team efforts with organizational goals and encourage diverse perspectives for collaborative problem-solving.
Required Skills
- Advanced expertise in AI/ML, statistics, and predictive modeling.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (Azure ML, Databricks).
- Strong foundation in mathematics, probability, and statistical methods applied to energy industry data.
- Experience with energy sector workflows, including upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent team collaboration and stakeholder communication skills across organizational levels.
- Track record of executing AI/ML projects and delivering high-quality results on time.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10–15 years of experience in data science, AI/ML model development, and analytics.
- Proven ability to design, deploy, and maintain AI/ML models for enterprise-scale business solutions.
- Experience in exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and model validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-focused mindset.
Preferred:
- Domain knowledge in oil and gas or energy sector analytics.
- Experience mentoring or leading data science teams.
- Familiarity with Azure services, Databricks, and cloud-based analytics pipelines.
