Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cost engineering services for upstream and downstream capital projects and small project portfolios.
  • Assess, implement, and standardize cost engineering processes and tools.
  • Facilitate performance measurement through benchmarking, KPIs, and project lookbacks.
  • Enhance data quality and accuracy using digital cost engineering platforms.
  • Align processes with best practices and business needs to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support recruiting efforts and establish the Cost Engineering function within Chevron ENGINE.
  • Advocate cost engineering principles and promote a One Team mentality across multifunctional teams.
  • Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and functional stakeholders to ensure predictable cost and schedule performance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10–15 years of cost engineering experience, including estimating, scheduling, cost control, management of change, progress measurement, and forecasting.
  • Strong background in capital project execution, project planning, and risk management for upstream/downstream facilities.
  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (B.E./B.Tech.) from an AICTE-recognized university.
  • Supervisory and team leadership experience with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and developing talent.
  • Proficiency in cost engineering systems, project management systems, and performance measurement tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence, align, and collaborate with multiple functional groups.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while delivering accurate cost forecasts and project controls.
  • Experience promoting a learning culture, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement.
