π― Key Responsibilities
π© Drilling Operations
- Operate and monitor hoisting, mud circulating, rotary, and well control systems.
- Ensure drilling equipment is used safely and maintained as per manufacturer and company guidelines.
- Execute the well program accurately and efficiently while maintaining operational integrity.
π Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate logs of drilling parameters, equipment status, and crew activities.
- Report incidents, equipment malfunctions, and anomalies to the Rig Superintendent.
π€ Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Supervise the drilling crew to ensure tasks are completed safely and timely.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, discipline, and adherence to company HSE standards.
β οΈ Additional Responsibilities
- Implement well control practices in line with IADC guidelines.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations.
- Support toolbox talks, safety briefings, and pre-tour meetings.
π§ Skills & Qualifications
β Education & Certification
- High School diploma required
- Technical Degree in Drilling Technology preferred
- Valid IADC Well Control Certification β Driller Level
β Experience
- 8+ years in oil & gas drilling operations
- At least 2 yearsβ experience working as a Driller on land or offshore rigs
- Proven ability to operate and maintain all key drilling equipment
β Technical & Soft Skills
- Knowledge of wellbore mechanics and pressure control principles
- Understanding of drilling programs and rig operating procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and crew management skills
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and rotational shifts
