QatarEnergy LNG is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Offshore Maintenance to lead a multi-disciplined maintenance team responsible for the upkeep and reliability of offshore LNG assets, including remote platforms. This leadership role demands strategic planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities to ensure operational safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in offshore maintenance within the oil and gas sector, demonstrating strong technical expertise, supervisory skills, and the ability to manage complex projects under challenging conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Maintenance Management

• Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary offshore maintenance team of 18-22 personnel to sustain asset reliability and availability.
• Coordinate routine and emergency maintenance activities across offshore assets, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
• Drive rigorous planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks while managing resources, spares, materials, and tools.
• Ensure maintenance activities align with company equipment strategies, mechanical integrity, and international engineering standards.

Operational Coordination & Compliance

• Collaborate closely with Offshore Installation Managers, operations teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless maintenance execution.
• Oversee major shutdowns and project expansions, supporting the execution team and ensuring safe, compliant operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and liaise with engineering teams for reporting and analysis.
• Facilitate lessons learned sharing and implement best maintenance practices across offshore assets.

Safety, Environmental & Regulatory

• Champion strict compliance with QatarEnergy LNG’s Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHE&Q) policies.
• Lead offshore Tier 1 Incident Response activities and support hazard identification, risk assessments, and safe work permits.
• Support sustainability efforts by ensuring maintenance activities minimize environmental impact and adhere to occupational health regulations.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proven leadership in offshore maintenance within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
• Strong problem-solving skills across Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation equipment.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken) with excellent communication abilities.
• Advanced computer literacy, including SAP and CMMS applications.
• Ability to manage complex situations, resolve conflicts, and maintain operational continuity under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplines).
• At least 10 years of relevant plant maintenance experience, including a minimum of 5 years in supervisory or managerial roles within offshore oil and gas operations.
