Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Implementation

• Execute upstream integrated gas volume and activity plans (UGP/IAP) to ensure uninterrupted feed-gas delivery from wells to LNG trains.
• Review and optimize gas production, water injection plans, and surveillance activities to meet operational targets.
• Align all well testing and injection programs with operations and coordinate with key stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

• Develop monitoring parameters and integrate well production data from offshore and onshore facilities.
• Analyze well and system network performance to ensure compliance with QatarEnergy LNG standards.
• Review production logging tool (PLT) data for production profiling and decision-making.
• Implement contingency plans to manage unforeseen production shortages and downtime efficiently.

Well Testing & Stimulation Support

• Coordinate stimulation design strategies and oversee well cleanup and testing post-stimulation.
• Review well testing reports and assess stimulation effectiveness based on rig flow back and PLT data.
• Recommend remedial actions and production optimization strategies for wells and platforms.

Production Reporting & Compliance

• Approve well production volume back allocation using well test and reservoir engineering data.
• Complete monthly and annual reconciliations at fiscal meter levels to ensure accurate feed-gas reporting.
• Support development projects by creating assessment criteria and checklists for well and asset performance.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in production operations, production planning, and optimization techniques in oil and gas.
• Proficient in well modelling, reservoir depletion methods, and production forecasting.
• Solid understanding of drilling, reservoir management, fluid sampling, and production facilities.
• Ability to analyze production data and provide actionable insights for operational improvements.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration.
• Familiarity with flow assurance, pipeline management, and project execution processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in production operations or engineering within the oil and gas sector.
• At least 2 years’ experience in production technology, stimulation, PLT interpretation, and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with production facilities, well work, testing, and metering equipment.
• Proficient in relevant production engineering software and Microsoft Office tools.
