Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and calibration of various field instruments installed in QatarEnergy refinery and associated plants.
- Work closely under guidance from the Lead Instrument Engineer to ensure instrumentation reliability and accuracy.
- Execute instrumentation tasks in compliance with international standards and best industry practices.
- Maintain and install smart field instruments, ensuring proper integration with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Adhere to safety regulations and hazardous area classification requirements.
- Document and report maintenance activities clearly and accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams in a multinational work environment.
Required Skills and Experience
- 6 to 8 years of solid experience as an Instrument Technician in refinery, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors.
- Deep knowledge of instrumentation measurement principles, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of smart instrumentation interfacing with DCS and PLC systems.
- Familiarity with hazardous area classification and safety standards.
- Knowledge of international instrumentation standards and best practices in refining and petrochemical industries is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Previous experience working in the Arabian Gulf region preferred.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma in Instrumentation or Control Systems Engineering from a recognized institution.
