Key Responsibilities
- Support, commission, and operate enterprise-grade physical, routing/switching, wireless, and MPLS network systems.
- Ensure optimal network availability, resiliency, and scalability to support QatarEnergy’s ICT business applications and services.
- Collaborate with ICT teams, corporate managers, and external service providers to deliver reliable network solutions.
- Participate in network infrastructure projects, helping meet milestones and maintain high service uptime.
- Design and install infrastructure hardware, configure network devices, and troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including blueprints, design documents, standards, and procedures.
- Lead structured cabling system installations and network infrastructure upgrades.
- Manage ICT project activities, including objective setting, reporting, prioritization, and team coordination.
- Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex network infrastructures, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Strong knowledge of IP convergence systems, MPLS, and wireless network implementation.
- Skilled in infrastructure hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience with structured cabling systems and industrial-grade network technologies.
- Proven ability to write technical documentation: blueprints, design specs, manuals, and proposals.
- Solid project management skills, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is required.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification is a strong advantage.
