Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and manage installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of Industrial Automation Control Systems, Instrument Services, and Fire & Gas systems.
- Oversee control systems including HVAC, Chillers, Central Plants, Treatment Plants, Irrigation & Sewage Pumps, Fire Water Pumps, and Industrial Communication Networks.
- Ensure operational reliability and maintenance budgeting for systems such as PLC, SCADA, DCS, BMS, and DDC.
- Lead design, programming, testing, commissioning, upgrading, and integration of control systems to meet QatarEnergy standards.
- Enforce QatarEnergy corporate policies, regulations, and standards to maintain infrastructure integrity at Ras Laffan Industrial City.
- Coordinate communication infrastructure provision for QatarEnergy end users, contractors, and tenants, maximizing infrastructure ROI.
- Manage manpower and maintenance activities efficiently, ensuring compliance with HSE safety procedures relevant to oil, gas, and marine environments.
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience with proven success in instrumentation and communication infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of passive infrastructure allocation, GIS software, and communication regulatory standards (CRA).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
- Familiarity with SAP-ERP environments is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of safety standards applicable to oil, gas, and marine industries.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in design, installation, and maintenance of communication infrastructure and network elements.
- Previous experience in oil and gas field communication systems preferred.
- Alternatively, a Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering with relevant experience is acceptable.
