Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the berthing and un-berthing of tankers using Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) systems.
- Manage the safe connection and disconnection of product supply hoses to tankers.
- Ensure tanker crews strictly follow QatarEnergy’s marine safety protocols and industry standards during mooring and hose handling operations.
- Monitor all mooring and hose lifting activities to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
- Collaborate closely with marine teams to maintain seamless offshore operations.
- Complete detailed reports on operational activities and safety checks as required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of marine experience, preferably in tanker operations or SBM handling.
- Strong understanding of marine safety practices, hazard identification, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and produce clear reports.
- Proven experience working in offshore environments and marine logistics.
- Familiarity with QatarEnergy’s safety standards and operational procedures is a plus.
Educational Qualifications
- Completion of Secondary School education.
- Approximately 1 year of training in seamanship, safety practices, report writing, and English language.
- Marine qualification such as Boatswain or equivalent.
- Must hold a QatarEnergy recognized Riggers Certificate.
- Safety awareness and hazard identification training highly recommended.
