Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Finance focal point for QatarEnergy’s domestic oil and gas asset teams.
- Monitor financial performance of Sales Gas ventures and upstream operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, forecasting, and economic evaluations.
- Lead governance reviews including Board, Audit, and Operating Committee materials.
- Utilize data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel models to present financial insights.
- Support financial planning, automation, and process efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate across multi-functional, multi-cultural teams and contribute to decision-making at a strategic level.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of the oil & gas industry financial landscape, domestic energy regulations, and market trends.
- Proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and financial governance frameworks.
- Excellent financial modeling, forecasting, and data interpretation skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to simplify complex financial data for senior leadership engagement.
- Experience with automation and emerging technologies (AI, ML) in finance is a strong plus.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited institution.
- Professional finance certification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, or CIMA (mandatory/preferred).
- MBA in Finance or Strategy is a strong advantage.
