Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Controls Analyst at QatarEnergy, you will:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of financial control frameworks across the organization.
- Draft, review, and maintain Financial Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Oversee the Manual of Authority (MOA) framework across QatarEnergy and its subsidiaries.
- Evaluate and advise on the adequacy of internal financial controls, mitigating risk and enhancing compliance.
- Support corporate governance initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in and influence business process transformation and automation projects.
- Provide expert advisory support to departmental heads on financial control matters.
- Prepare and deliver analytical reports, presentations, and compliance summaries to executive leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of professional experience in finance, audit, internal controls, or accounting.
- Proven understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and global accounting principles.
- Demonstrated success in policy development, business process improvement, and internal controls evaluation.
- Proficient in report writing, Excel data analysis, and financial presentations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in high-performance and compliance-driven environments.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- Recognized professional accounting certification: ACCA, CPA, ACA, or equivalent is required.
