Key Responsibilities
- Provide contractual and commercial expertise to QatarEnergy’s Operations and Ventures (OV) department.
- Manage Manpower Call-Off Contracts and oversee new tendering processes from scope preparation through to final contract closeout.
- Draft, review, and negotiate large-scale, complex contracts in alignment with corporate policies and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with contracts law, internal governance, and external regulatory standards.
- Develop bid evaluation strategies, contract award recommendations, and contract administration plans.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project, and legal teams throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Monitor contractor performance, resolve disputes, and manage variations or claims where necessary.
- Leverage SAP and contract analysis tools to support contract planning and data reporting.
Required Skills and Experience
- 15+ years’ multidisciplinary experience, with at least 10 years in the oil & gas industry working on major industrial contracts.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Contracts law and procurement regulations
- Manpower and outsourced services contracts
- Engineering, commissioning, and maintenance contracts
- Excellent communication skills in contractual correspondence, contract drafting, and negotiation.
- Proven ability to interpret complex contract terms, manage risks, and support strategic decision-making.
- Competency in contract management systems, SAP transactions, and MS Office tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple contracts concurrently.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Contract Management or Project Management are highly desirable.
