Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repair on offshore gas turbines to maximize operational productivity.
  • Independently execute turbine core changes, borescope inspections, and routine mechanical maintenance.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot turbine control systems, pressure and temperature gauges, and ancillary turbine equipment such as lube oil systems, starter systems, filters, and valves.
  • Conduct safe rigging and lifting operations in compliance with offshore safety standards.
  • Align rotating equipment and maintain mechanical seal systems, bearings, and assemblies.
  • Participate in routine and non-routine breakdown, shutdown, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with a diverse multinational workforce, respecting different cultures and communication styles.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of offshore rotating equipment and gas turbine maintenance experience within the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong knowledge of turbine control systems, PLC navigation, and instrumentation calibration.
  • Ability to handle mechanical core turbine repairs independently and confidently.
  • Good understanding of lube oil systems, valves, filters, starter systems, and rotating equipment maintenance.
  • Proven experience in offshore rigging, lifting operations, and safety compliance.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Proficient computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in offshore and marine environments.
  • Educational background: B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical, Rotating, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
