Responsibilities
As a Lead Software Architect at Baker Hughes, you will:
- Lead the architecture, configuration, and customization of Teamcenter PLM applications to drive enterprise-grade implementations.
- Analyze and enhance existing business processes by defining use cases and PLM workflows.
- Collaborate with functional teams across on-site and offshore locations to enable global solution development.
- Architect integrations and federated systems using Java, Teamcenter BMIDE, SAP OData, cloud services, and microservices patterns.
- Design end-to-end PLM solutions encompassing BOM, Change Management, Product Classification, and integrations with CAD, ERP, MES, and CRM systems.
- Drive architectural excellence through proactive alignment with stakeholders and strategic technical leadership.
Skills & Expertise
- Proven leadership in Teamcenter PLM implementations, with strong configuration and customization knowledge (7+ years).
- Hands-on experience in Java development, microservices, and cloud architecture.
- Proficient with Teamcenter BMIDE, SAP OData, and related integration technologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of PLM domains: BOM, variants, classification, and change control.
- Strong collaboration abilities to work with onshore and offshore functional teams in a global environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or Engineering.
- Willingness to travel globally as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- Over 7 years of experience in enterprise-level architecture and deployment of PLM systems, especially Teamcenter.
- Proven track record of large-scale, end-to-end implementations including infrastructure design and rollout.
- Travel readiness and strong communication skills to operate effectively across time zones and cultures.
