Key Responsibilities
As a Lifting Equipment Engineer at ADNOC Gas – Ruwais, you will:
- Manage the inspection, testing, and certification of all lifting appliances and accessories.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC lifting standards, international codes, and HSE regulations.
- Coordinate planned maintenance and breakdown repair of cranes, hoists, winches, slings, and rigging gear.
- Liaise with third-party inspection agencies and internal safety departments for audits and certifications.
- Maintain accurate records in CMMS for lifting equipment history, defects, and certifications.
- Analyze equipment performance data to recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and project teams on lifting-related matters.
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure best practices in lifting operations across the site.
Key Skills
- Deep knowledge of mechanical lifting systems, cranes, hoists, slings, shackles, and rigging gear.
- Proficient in inspection, testing, and maintenance of lifting equipment per international standards (e.g., LOLER, API, ASME).
- Experience with CMMS, AutoCAD, and technical drawing interpretation.
- Strong understanding of HSE, risk assessment, and lifting safety compliance.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and reporting skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience focused on lifting equipment in oil & gas or heavy industry.
- Certification in Lifting Equipment Inspection (LEEA, API, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Prior ADNOC or UAE onshore experience is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of ADNOC HSE and lifting guidelines is preferred.
