Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer at ADNOC Gas, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, reviewing, and approving electrical systems and layouts for oil & gas projects.
  • Performing load calculations, power system analysis, and fault current studies.
  • Ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes (IEC, IEEE), and HSE guidelines.
  • Supporting the engineering team during design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
  • Coordinating with project teams, vendors, and third-party contractors to ensure efficient electrical system delivery.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical issues on-site and during operations.
  • Contributing to risk assessments, failure investigations, and improvement plans for asset performance.

Skills Required

  • Deep understanding of electrical engineering design in oil & gas environments.
  • Proficiency in electrical software tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD, and SCADA systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of power distribution, protection systems, and hazardous area classifications.
  • Strong project coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and electrical schematics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in oil & gas or energy sectors.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC operational standards and engineering workflows is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regional and international electrical codes and safety regulations.
