Key Responsibilities
Electrical System Design & Development
- Design and develop electrical systems and wiring harnesses for Caterpillar machines based on detailed requirements.
- Perform electrical load analysis, design calculations, and ensure product functionality and reliability.
- Create Creo schematic designs and positive BOMs for wiring harnesses.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Lead and deliver NPI projects including creation of electrical subsystems, harness routing, and harness drawing generation.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve design boundary issues and optimize manufacturability.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Investigate root causes of field failures and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in design review meetings and NPI Gateway reviews.
- Support product maintenance and resolve electrical design-related issues efficiently.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to local and global engineering teams.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 4-6 years of experience in automotive electrical design or heavy engineering electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to develop complex product concepts.
- Proficient in Creo schematic design and wiring harness development.
- Experience with electrical system integration and problem-solving.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- Experience in wiring harness manufacturing is a plus.
- Proficiency with Pro-E Creo and Pro-Diagram tools.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) guidelines and methodologies.

- Proficient in product testing strategies and defect analysis.
