Key Responsibilities
As a Production Engineer at Hero MotoCorp, you will:
🔧 Plant Operations & Process Execution
- Optimize daily operations using PQCDMS metrics (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Safety)
- Plan and execute efficient usage of plant resources – People, Machine, Material, Space, and Information
- Facilitate smooth functioning of production lines with continuous monitoring and adjustments
📈 Process & System Strengthening
- Improve existing manufacturing systems and implement Lean Manufacturing practices
- Execute productivity improvement projects and low-cost automation initiatives
- Conduct NVAs (Non-Value-Added) analysis, line balancing, and manpower rationalization
🛠️ Project Planning & Equipment Setup
- Lead layout planning, equipment specification, design, and installation for new projects
- Manage vendor coordination, trials, and final handover of new machinery
- Monitor equipment performance for 3 months post-commissioning to ensure operational stability
💡 Special Initiatives & Continuous Improvement
- Generate and implement innovative ideas for efficiency enhancement
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for IT integration projects and process automation
Required Skills
- Strong command of AutoCAD, SAP, and CNC machine operations
- Experience with robotic cells, FRD machines, tooling, and layout implementation
- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow industrial safety norms
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint for reporting and presentations
