Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks for batch and real-time data processing.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from sources such as SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and external APIs.
• Build and optimize data models, data marts, and enterprise data warehouses using SQL Server and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Write high-performance SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers in SQL Server environments.
• Leverage Databricks (Spark with Python or Scala) to process and transform large datasets for analytics and reporting.
• Ensure data quality, security, integrity, and compliance with governance frameworks through validation, monitoring, and auditing.
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to design scalable data solutions.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for continuous integration and delivery.
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance across cloud and on-premises data systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in data engineering, data integration, or related roles.
• Expertise in Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark using Python or Scala.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server including SQL scripting, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT best practices, and data modeling techniques such as star and snowflake schemas.
• Knowledge of data governance, role-based access control (RBAC), and security best practices on Azure platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps and version control systems like Git.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative team environments.
