Key Responsibilities

• Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of scalable, maintainable Java-based applications using Spring Boot and microservices.
• Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-tested Java code for APIs, backend services, and automation workflows.
• Technology Evaluation: Research and recommend new frameworks, tools, and cloud solutions to enhance existing systems and build innovative features.
• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, UI/UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best coding practices and technical excellence.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot complex software issues and performance bottlenecks; provide timely production support and bug fixes.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including APIs, architecture diagrams, and deployment procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years professional experience in Java full-stack development.
• Strong expertise in Java 11/17+, core Java libraries, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem — Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Proven track record in building, deploying, and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and integration/end-to-end testing.
• Skilled in CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions.
• Experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Agile/Scrum development experience and familiarity with Git version control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred (Good to Have) Skills

• Experience with Drools rule engine and JSLT for JSON transformations.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Basic understanding of front-end frameworks like React.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Awareness of security best practices in software development.

Location & Work Model

• Base location: Mumbai (Hybrid work environment combining office and remote work).
• Occasional travel to client locations as required.
