Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end service delivery of Accounts Payable and Receivable processes for a defined geography, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Manage and mentor a team of approximately 50 finance professionals, driving high performance and continuous development.
- Establish and improve finance policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance controllership and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a key escalation point for resolving complex finance issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior leadership across Amazon to support strategic financial decision-making.
- Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives that streamline finance operations and improve data accuracy.
- Oversee recruitment, talent development, and retention efforts to build a high-caliber finance team.
- Drive execution of team vision, goals, and performance metrics aligned with Amazon’s finance strategy.
Skills & Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Operations roles.
- 6+ years of experience applying financial KPIs and building financial reports to inform business decisions.
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading teams of 5 or more members.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
- Proven track record of process improvement and automation in finance functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced finance certification.
- 6+ years of experience leading continuous improvement projects with measurable outcomes.
- Expertise in large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos).
- Experience working with senior executives, including C-suite stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence diverse teams.
