Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support AWS data center infrastructure including racks, servers, networking devices, and cables.
- Perform hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair to ensure optimal data center operations.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers) and external vendors (hardware suppliers, contractors).
- Manage assigned tickets through a directed workflow, ensuring timely resolution of hardware and network issues.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance, change management, and on-call rotations to support 24×7 data center operations.
- Adhere strictly to safety, security policies, and operational procedures within the data center environment.
- Document root cause analyses and contribute to continuous process improvements.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring operational areas are safe and efficient.
Skills & Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data center operations or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware components and repair.
- Familiarity with fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to lift and rack equipment weighing up to 20 kg.
- Willingness to work in a 24×7 shift rotation schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a colocation or hyperscale data center facility.
- Proficiency in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Networking experience including troubleshooting and maintenance.
