🛡 Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the IBM QRadar SIEM platform, ensuring product stability, availability, and 24×7 operational support.
• Troubleshoot SIEM platform issues, liaise with IBM Technical Support, and ensure timely resolution.
• Perform SIEM platform backend management including backups, capacity planning, change and patch management, and lifecycle upgrades.
• Develop and fine-tune log source grouping and event correlation rules to optimize QRadar license usage and improve threat detection.
• Lead full-cycle SIEM platform upgrades—from pre-checks to execution and closure—ensuring compliance with security patches and vulnerability fixes.
• Maintain compliance with log retention policies, backup recovery, and disaster recovery drills.
• Develop and maintain security use cases aligned to the MITRE ATT&CK framework and integrate SIEM with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security tools like SOAR, TIP, and UEBA.
• Monitor daily SIEM health checks, log stoppages, and database/storage alerts to minimize downtime.
• Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly operational and incident reports for stakeholders.
• Document architecture, utilization, capacity, and content management for QRadar SIEM.

🔧 Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institutions.
• Certified IBM QRadar SIEM Administrator with 4+ years of hands-on experience.
• Expertise in QRadar console administration, event processor, flow processor, data nodes, and storage management.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity domains: Endpoint security, Network security, Cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), Firewall, IPS, WAF, Deception technologies, AV, EDR.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and content development mapped to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Proficient in managing SIEM integration with SOAR, Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIP), User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), and network behavior analysis tools.
• Ability to manage change, risks, and quality with high integrity and precision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Strong analytical acumen with experience in incident analysis, reporting, and cybersecurity strategy.
