Key Responsibilities
As a Deputy Manager | External Audit at Deloitte, your role will encompass the following:
1. External & Statutory Audits
- Lead and execute external audit engagements for various clients, ensuring compliance with Auditing & Accounting Standards.
- Manage statutory audits, identifying risks and issues, and discussing solutions with senior management.
- Review financial statements and ensure accurate financial reporting and accounting practices.
2. Client Management & Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, responding to their needs and delivering on their expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all client assignments are completed effectively and on time.
3. Issue Identification & Resolution
- Proactively identify issues within client operations and offer actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with senior managers and partners to resolve complex audit matters and provide insights to clients.
4. Engagement Management
- Manage and oversee audit engagements to ensure timely, high-quality delivery, and risk management.
- Coordinate with various business units and external stakeholders to streamline audit processes and minimize gaps.
5. Continuous Learning & Development
- Stay current with the latest industry trends, auditing standards, and accounting regulations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, helping them develop their auditing skills.
Desired Qualifications
To excel in the Deputy Manager | External Audit role at Deloitte, you should have:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 1-4 years of experience in external audit or statutory audit.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
- Proven client management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; fluency in written and spoken English.
