Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager in Deloitte’s Cyber Risk team, you will be responsible for:
- SOAR Playbook Development: Design, maintain, and enhance SOAR playbooks to automate threat detection and incident response workflows.
- Tool Integration: Integrate security tools (SIEM, EDR, threat intel feeds) with Cortex XSOAR for streamlined automation.
- Custom Automation: Develop Python scripts to automate workflows, improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
- Performance Optimization: Fine-tune and optimize playbooks for performance, reducing false positives and improving detection accuracy.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to L1 analysts and actively contribute to SOC knowledge sharing.
- Incident Management: Document playbook logic, automation scripts, and incident handling procedures for comprehensive knowledge transfer.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with teams to improve the security operations center (SOC) capabilities and achieve business goals.
Skills & Qualifications
- Required Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, including SOAR playbook development, incident response, and tool integration.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Cortex XSOAR and Python scripting for automation.
- Working knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Elastic).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as malware analysis, phishing, and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimizing complex systems.
- Education:
- B.Tech/BE / BCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- SOAR Certified Automation Engineer.
- Knowledge of incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS).
