Responsibilities
Data Science & Analytics
- Use advanced data science techniques to solve complex business problems and uncover insights that drive key decisions.
- Design experiments, analyze data, and conduct predictive modeling to measure product quality and customer behavior.
- Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that track business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand and visualize trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with cross-functional teams like engineering, product management, and design to provide actionable data insights.
- Lead the creation of compelling data-driven narratives that influence product roadmaps and customer-focused strategies.
- Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with peers to continuously improve methodologies and approaches.
Experimentation & Optimization
- Evaluate business investment returns through data and experimentation, assessing whether investments meet customer and business goals.
- Analyze customer segmentation and help identify strategies for greater business impact and goal achievement.
- Identify and implement innovative approaches to optimize business metrics, focusing on data quality and experimental design.
Data Engineering & Tools
- Work with Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud-based data platforms to process, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
- Write efficient Python, R, C#, or Java code to implement data pipelines and automation tools.
- Maintain and enhance data infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, or related field + 1+ years of data science experience OR
- Master’s Degree in Data Science or related field + 3+ years of data science experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science or related field + 5+ years of data science experience.
- Strong background in predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and regression analysis.
- Proficiency with Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop), SCOPE/COSMOS, U-SQL.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, C#, or Java.
- Experience with experiment design and A/B testing methodologies.
Preferred:
- 8+ years of experience in data science and analytics.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership and mentoring experience in driving data science best practices.
