Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Innovation: Spearhead the development of multilingual speech models and AI-powered voice solutions for Microsoft’s products and services.
- Drive Technical Direction: Set the technical roadmap for speech recognition technologies, model customization, and AI-enhanced accuracy, latency, and scalability.
- Develop AI Models: Build and fine-tune advanced speech AI models for real-time transcription, voice agents, and multilingual applications.
- Collaborate Globally: Partner with cross-functional teams to define project scope, deliver innovative solutions, and meet customer needs.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor peers, foster a growth-oriented team culture, and lead by example in driving technical innovation.
- Contribute to Research: Publish papers and contribute to patents in AI and speech technology, representing Microsoft at top-tier conferences.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, AI, or related fields.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in speech technology, machine learning, or AI development in both academic and industry settings.
- Programming Skills: Expertise in Python, C++, or similar programming languages; experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in speech recognition, multilingual models, and AI-driven voice solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Speech & Audio Processing: Experience in developing multilingual speech models, voice agent technologies, or AI-powered voice interfaces.
- Cloud & AI Platforms: Familiarity with Azure, cloud-based AI solutions, and deploying speech technologies at enterprise scale.
