Key Responsibilities

OpenShift Cluster Management & Support

• Provide advanced L2 support for OpenShift container platforms in production and non-production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cluster issues escalated from L1 teams, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor cluster health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK stacks.

Incident & Problem Management

• Manage incident tickets related to OpenShift platform and services.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with L3 support, DevOps, and engineering teams for complex escalations and fixes.

Configuration & Maintenance

• Implement OpenShift configuration changes such as node scaling, network policies, and application deployments.
• Manage patching and upgrades of OpenShift components following best practices.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Develop and maintain SOPs, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting guides for internal teams.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, development, and infrastructure for platform optimization.

Required Skills & Technologies

• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift v4.x and Kubernetes architecture.
• Expertise in container technologies like Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, or GitOps workflows.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts: DNS, load balancers, firewalls, ingress/egress policies.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK.
• Basic familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP hosting OpenShift clusters.

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Hat OpenShift certifications (e.g., EX280, EX288) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Experience with storage integrations and Container Storage Interface (CSI).
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Automation and scripting skills using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform or Ansible.
