Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement rule-based configuration systems to manage complex product logic and constraints.
- Use Matlab for modelling, simulation, and logic implementation to support product customization.
- Translate product and business requirements into logical rules for configuration engines.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and IT teams to ensure scalable and consistent logic frameworks.
- Optimize and maintain existing logic modules to enhance system performance and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve logic issues in both live and test environments.
- Apply propositional and predicate logic to model complex interactions and systems.
- Analyze logical consistencies within large rule sets to ensure accuracy.
- Document logic designs, rules, and configurations with clarity and precision.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in mathematical modelling, product logic, or rule-based systems.
- Strong proficiency in Matlab programming, simulation, and modelling.
- Experience working with rule-based configurators, logic engines, or knowledge-based systems.
- Solid understanding of Boolean logic, constraints modelling, and decision-making systems.
- Ability to interpret complex product architectures and convert them into logical frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in technical documentation and logic design reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to PLM systems or configuration tools such as Teamcenter Product Configurator, Configit, or Tacton.
- Background in mechanical, electrical, or software engineering with strong mathematical reasoning.
- Experience with mass customization or variant configuration logic preferred.
- Advanced certifications or training in systems modelling and rule-based configurations is a plus.
