Key Responsibilities
As a Google Hardware Supply Chain Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
- Lead and execute the global commodity or product roadmap across hardware categories.
- Act as the commercial liaison between internal teams (engineering, product) and external vendors/suppliers.
- Drive vendor negotiations, ensuring optimal value, performance, and scalability.
- Interpret and work with legal documents, in collaboration with the Legal team to finalize agreements.
- Manage multiple procurement projects, balancing cost, quality, and timeline objectives.
- Influence and contribute to the overall hardware development and supply strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or commodity management.
- Proven success in Capex or commodity sourcing, supplier engagement, and vendor negotiations.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Background in consumer electronics hardware development and production.
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of supplier development, legal document interpretation, and partnership management.
