Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes focused on automation, robotics, and advanced material handling systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams to identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing layouts to maximize productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate, select, and validate new equipment and technologies in partnership with suppliers, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Monitor critical production metrics such as throughput, cycle time, and waste levels to measure success and adjust processes accordingly.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing challenges and lead corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams during equipment installation and troubleshooting phases.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain teams to streamline logistics and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and other lean initiatives aimed at eliminating waste and improving quality.
  • Maintain compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards; draft and release Work Instructions (WI); manage electronic Device History Records (eDHR).
  • Drive CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and lead investigations to enhance manufacturing reliability and safety.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. Master’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, preferably in medical technology or related industries.
  • Strong expertise in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology with proven project delivery success.
  • Hands-on experience working with automated manufacturing equipment and robotics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid project management skills with a track record of managing complex initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with basic financial concepts such as cost estimation and ROI analysis.
