L&T Heavy Civil Infrastructure (HCI) Chennai is seeking a skilled Erection Engineer (also referred to as Assistant Manager or Senior Engineer – Erection) with 2-4 years of experience in civil construction and erection works. This role specializes in managing segment lifting, girder launching, and post-tensioning activities for metro rail projects. 🛠 Responsibilities

• Manage segment lifting, gluing, temporary and permanent stressing operations efficiently.
• Coordinate resource allocation and manpower planning for multiple shifts as per project timelines.
• Conduct daily program and progress review meetings with the Project Manager.
• Prepare and submit material and resource requirements weekly and monthly.
• Facilitate coordination between shift engineers to ensure smooth handovers and workflow.
• Submit Request for Information (RFI) and other system-related documentation aligned with project activities.
• Ensure safe working conditions, promoting safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols among workers and machinery operators.
• Maintain quality assurance across all stages of erection and installation.
• Document and report all process-related activities in compliance with ISO standards.
• Liaise with the precast yard to monitor and manage the timely supply of girders.

🧰 Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of girder types and launching processes in civil construction.
• Familiarity with post-tensioning techniques such as stressing and gluing.
• Understanding of construction methods, safety management systems, and legal regulations.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to manage multi-shift operations.
• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards on complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience working in metro rail or heavy civil infrastructure projects preferred.

🎓 Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant site execution and erection experience, preferably in metro rail or heavy infrastructure.
