Key Responsibilities

As a Deputy Manager – Cyber Incident Investigator, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze alerts escalated by L1/L2 teams and lead response to critical security incidents.
  • Coordinate containment, mitigation, and remediation efforts across teams.
  • Develop and execute advanced incident response strategies and playbooks.
  • Conduct malware analysis and digital forensics to trace attacks and assess impact.
  • Monitor network traffic, logs, and endpoints for threat hunting.
  • Utilize threat intelligence to identify emerging vulnerabilities.
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations to prevent future incidents.
  • Mentor L1/L2 analysts and conduct training for SOC staff.
  • Document incident response actions and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cybersecurity tools to enhance incident response capabilities.
  • Continuously improve incident response processes, including automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Stay updated with the latest threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices.

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Expertise in digital forensics, malware analysis, and reverse engineering.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with SOC tools, threat intelligence platforms, and security technologies.
  • Effective communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to perform under high-pressure scenarios and make critical decisions.
  • Continuous learning mindset to adapt to evolving cyber threats.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (Tier 1/2 college preferred).
  • Experience: 6–9 years in incident response, cybersecurity, or digital forensics.
  • Certifications: At least one of CHFI, GCFA, GCFE, or CISSP.
