Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Python Developer at Siemens, you will:
- Design, develop, and implement functional requirements and backend features using Python.
- Build efficient and scalable applications while integrating front-end components.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to bring designs into implementation.
- Manage testing, debugging, and bug-fixing activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Work closely with global, multicultural teams in R&D-driven projects.
- Drive adoption of cloud technologies for data processing, warehousing, and deployment.
- Suggest software enhancements and contribute to product improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Python development, backend solutions, and cloud applications.
- Strong expertise in Flask/Django frameworks and deploying web applications on cloud.
- Solid understanding of data engineering, building pipelines, and distributed algorithms.
- Proficiency with SQL/SQLite/Postgres and NoSQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of REST API development, microservices, and server-side architectures.
- Familiarity with RDBMS integration and data warehousing.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Lean methodologies (Scrum, TDD, rapid prototyping).
- Exposure to Java programming is an added advantage.
- Understanding of web servers, load balancers, and deployment processes.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills in English.
- Experience in Siemens sector domains (Industry, Energy, Healthcare, Infrastructure & Cities) is preferred.
- International project exposure with cross-cultural collaboration is a plus.
