Key Responsibilities

AWS Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Administer and optimize AWS services: EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch.
• Automate infrastructure management with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Ensure high availability, security, and cost-efficiency for AWS environments.
• Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.

RHEL System Administration

• Configure and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across cloud environments.
• Perform updates, patching, and security hardening for RHEL systems.
• Resolve system and network issues to minimize service disruption.

Operations Support & Incident Management

• Provide 24/7 operational support for cloud and RHEL environments.
• Perform incident root-cause analysis and drive long-term fixes.
• Support documentation updates and ensure incident response efficiency.

Automation & Process Optimization

• Develop and implement automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for seamless deployment and configuration management.

Monitoring & Performance Optimization

• Implement and maintain monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch, Nagios, Prometheus) to track performance and resource utilization.
• Optimize AWS resources to improve system performance and reduce costs.

Security & Compliance

• Follow AWS security best practices and maintain compliance with standards like PCI DSS and GDPR.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Ensure robust backup and recovery procedures for both cloud and on-premise systems.
• Create and test disaster recovery plans to guarantee business continuity.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in database management, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and system administration (AWS, RHEL).
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch.
  • Hands-on experience with RHEL systems and system administration tasks.
  • Familiar with Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or AWS CloudWatch.
  • Expertise in security protocols, including IAM roles, VPNs, firewalls, and data protection strategies.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to optimize cloud and system performance.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
