Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant specializing in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), you will:
1. Cloud Solution Design & Implementation
- Lead the design and deployment of Azure-based solutions, utilizing AKS, Docker, and Kubernetes to orchestrate containerized applications.
- Assist in setting up and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure CDK.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud architecture and optimize it for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
2. DevOps & CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate testing, building, and deployment processes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and scaling of cloud environments.
- Ensure continuous integration and continuous delivery practices are followed to streamline development cycles.
3. Cloud Security & Monitoring
- Implement security best practices for managing IAM roles, policies, and security groups in Azure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure using tools like Azure CloudWatch, ensuring uptime and optimal performance.
- Work with security teams to ensure compliance and protect sensitive data by using tools like KMS, Secrets Manager, and encryption.
4. Automation & Scripting
- Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell for operational tasks and cloud management.
- Develop and deploy containerized solutions using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service to enhance development and operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must have:
Technical Skills
- Proven experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK for cloud infrastructure automation.
- DevOps experience, particularly in CI/CD pipeline management using GitHub Actions and GitHub Runners.
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management.
- Knowledge of cloud security and monitoring tools such as Azure CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in cloud computing and DevOps roles with a strong background in Azure and containerized applications.
- Experience working with AWS, Linux environments, and networking principles.
- Previous exposure to cloud architecture design, infrastructure as code, and continuous delivery models.
Soft Skills
