Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end actuarial projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and process efficiency.
  • Prepare regular financial reporting packages for clients, including monthly and quarterly updates.
  • Collect, analyze, and input data into financial models such as Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) claims models, Actuarial Value Plan Models, and Pricing Models.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis for plan changes, self-funded vs. fully insured plans, and other client-specific requirements.
  • Prepare financial exhibits and support client reports and correspondence.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of group systems, products, and technology, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review technical results independently, ensure proper audit trails, and provide clear documentation.
  • Mentor colleagues and educate team members to perform valuations independently.
  • Participate actively in manager meetings, providing updates and insights on ongoing projects.
  • Support client communication by preparing deliverables and drafting client-ready emails.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of mentoring colleagues.
  • Experience in data analysis, actuarial modeling, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate or Postgraduate degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Engineering preferred).
  • Experience: 6–8 years in actuarial work, insurance, consulting, or analytically intensive roles.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Actuarial Modeling Suite or similar actuarial software
    • Advanced Excel functions and data analysis tools
    • Financial modeling and health benefits actuarial expertise
