Key Responsibilities
As a Deputy Manager – Cyber Threat Hunting, you will:
- Conduct proactive threat hunting across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments
- Utilize SIEM platforms (Splunk, Google SecOps, Azure Sentinel) and EDR tools (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Cortex) for advanced detection
- Analyze security telemetry to identify anomalous activity, potential compromises, and emerging threat patterns
- Investigate incidents escalated from SOC Level 3, providing root cause analysis and remediation recommendations
- Develop, tune, and maintain detection rules, alerts, and threat hunting playbooks
- Collaborate with SOC teams, threat intelligence, and incident response for enhanced detection and mitigation
- Research emerging threats, malware, ransomware, and TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, Procedures)
- Prepare actionable threat reports and briefings for senior security leadership
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Threat Hunter in enterprise environments
- At least 3 years of SOC Level 3 Analyst experience
- Strong expertise with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Google SecOps, Azure Sentinel) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, MS Defender for endpoints)
- Proficient in log analysis, network traffic inspection, and endpoint monitoring
- Solid understanding of malware analysis, threat intelligence, and cyberattack methodologies
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and detection
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: GCTI, GCFA, GREM, CISSP
- Experience in cloud security threat hunting (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Working knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat modeling
