Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Sentinel for enterprise security monitoring.
- Develop and maintain analytic rules and detection use cases using KQL aligned with MITRE ATT&CK.
- Integrate logs from cloud and on-prem systems including Azure, AWS, O365, endpoints, and firewalls.
- Create playbooks and automated incident response workflows using Azure Logic Apps.
- Monitor data connectors, log ingestion health, and optimize performance and cost.
- Conduct threat hunting, deep-dive analysis, and tune alert rules to reduce false positives.
- Collaborate with SOC analysts, incident responders, and threat intelligence teams.
- Support compliance and audit requirements by generating reports and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel SIEM.
- Advanced proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL) for security analytics.
- Expertise in log ingestion and security monitoring from cloud/on-prem sources (Azure, O365, Defender, firewalls, servers).
- Experience creating automation playbooks with Azure Logic Apps.
- Knowledge of incident response workflows and threat detection methodologies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks: MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001.
- Microsoft certifications such as SC-200 or AZ-500 preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s (B.Tech, BE, B.Sc, BCA) or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
