Key Responsibilities
As an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Consultant at Deloitte, your role includes:
1. Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment
- Design and implement Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) solutions for clients.
- Work with AWS services like EC2, S3, and RDS, assisting in deployment and configuration.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
2. Cloud Security & Monitoring
- Ensure cloud security best practices, managing IAM roles, security groups, and encryption settings.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure using AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack, and other monitoring tools.
- Assist in container-based deployments using Docker, AWS ECS, and EKS.
3. Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Support cloud infrastructure tasks like backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for solutions and processes.
4. Client & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with process owners and business stakeholders to understand and improve existing processes.
- Provide timely solutions to issues and assist with day-to-day operations.
Skills Required
The ideal Azure Kubernetes Service Consultant will possess:
- 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, specifically with Kubernetes, AKS, and AWS.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, EKS, and ECS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM).
- Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Exposure to Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and basic networking concepts.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology, or related field.
- Advanced certifications in Azure, AWS, or Cloud Technologies are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
