Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor Azure cloud resources, including VMs, storage accounts, networking, and platform services.
- Implement and maintain Azure Active Directory, RBAC policies, and identity management.
- Perform backups, disaster recovery planning, and data restoration for critical applications.
- Monitor system performance and optimize for cost efficiency and high availability.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams for deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of cloud-based applications.
- Implement security best practices using firewalls, network security groups, and encryption.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, configurations, and operational processes.
- Execute Terraform scripts and modules to provision Azure environments efficiently.
- Configure Docker containers and microservices architectures for application deployment.
- Apply CI/CD methodologies using Azure DevOps for automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Stay updated on Azure updates, features, and industry best practices for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer managing cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes.
- Proficiency with Azure services, networking, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, PowerShell, Python, and other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps implementation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Azure cloud administration and DevOps.
- Certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-400 preferred.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar IT best practice methodologies.
- Prior experience with software installation, system maintenance, and application administration.
